Meeting Minutes
PTO Introductions
What has the PTO been up to:
- Teacher support
- Teacher appreciation – once a month – lunches, coffee, snacks, etc.
- Campus Beautification
- Takes a lot of work and time to get these things done. New logo, decals, sound system, painting, etc.
- Stage remodel is finally in the works. We are funding this with last year’s Boosterthon.
- Teacher store – we have had this in the past. We are creating a store that teachers can go to and pick out their necessities. Teachers can take as they need.
**What would you like to see at Centennial? We would love to hear from teachers and parents.
Fundraising
- Step It Up – Trying something new
- In place of Boosterthon (fun run)
- This will be our only big fundraiser for the year.
- Two week fundraiser.
- Prizes are available for all. (no $$ required – just registration)
- Ending with a Day of Awesomeness! (volunteers will be needed)
- This will be done as a Fall Fundraiser
- Fun Fridays – Donut & Smencil sales
- Spirit Gear – link to come out soon. All year-round ordering.
- Working on some additional accessories – bows, croc charms?, etc.
Where you can get involved:
- Ask your teacher about being the Teacher Representative. (Attend the General PTO meetings and report back to the teacher)
- Become a member of PTO.
- Volunteer to help with activities through SignUp Genius, throughout the year

Questions:
Do we ask parents for company sponsors?
Yes. We actively seek out corporate, community and business sponsorships.
What about organizing a Christmas show?
We can talk more about what that would look like. Not off the table, just want to think through the logistics.
For Trunk or Treat, how much candy?
We are trying to find additional sponsorship to help with candy. We usually give one bag and 1-2 refills.
